Following the successful debut of both Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung fans are awaiting the release of the Galaxy Note 8. There is no official news regarding the handset, but there is no lack of rumors, and the latest speculation suggests that the South Korean giant is thinking of launching the Galaxy Note 8 on August 26 at an event in New York.
As per Indian Express, the source of the rumor is an unnamed official from Samsung who has said that the Note 8 will be launched earlier than expected, in August. Previously, it was being believed that the Note 8 will launch at the IFA 2017 in Berlin (1 Sep 2017 – 6 Sep 2017). September is also the speculated launch date for iPhone 8 or iPhone 7S. It’s worth noting that The Note 7 that came out last year too launched earlier than expected and many believe, this is a good reason behind the handset’s epic failure.
Two days ago we reported about three leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that saw the fingerprint sensor missing from the device. It'll be disappointing if the phone may miss out on the much anticipated in-display fingerprint sensor. The phablet could be seen sporting a dual vertically aligned rear camera with no physical home button. As per the new leak, the Note 8 could sport smaller bezels, smaller than that of the Galaxy 8 and Galaxy 8 Plus. Another recent curious piece of information surrounding the Galaxy Note 8 is that its codename ‘Gr3at’.
Apart from these, based on leaks and speculations, the Note 8 is set to come with a mammoth 6.3-inch display sporting pixel resolutions of 1440 by 2960. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset under the hood and will sport a dual speaker. Certainly, all these things are being speculated and could differ when the handset launches.
